TRIATHLON/CYCLING/RUNNING TRAINING PLANS
All programs include:
- Evaluation of past training and current fitness level
- Develop future goals specific to the individual athlete, short and long term
- Initial lactate threshold test done on Computrainer to determine current Heart Rate zones with retesting at six to eight week intervals to check progress
- Unlimited communication via e-mail
- Workouts sent in 4-week blocks utilizing a periodization structure
- Feedback on your workout log a minimum of two times/week
- Adjustment of your schedule for unforeseen events as needed
- Coached track workouts once weekly
- Opportunity to join group rides one to two times weekly, during which time Coach Sherry and/or Coach Pete are available to answer questions with regard to training, assess cycling form, etc., with ride slips provided.
Programs are designed for each individual athlete to include the following:
- Detailed description of the workouts
- Purpose of the workout (speed, strength, recovery, etc.)
- Target heart rate and/or effort/intensity training zones for each workout
- Distance or Duration of each workout
- Any other specific details or comments tailored to the athlete
- Taper plan
- Race day nutrition plan
